According to several DFW Media Outlets, the Cowboys and former New Orleans Saints Line Backer/Special Teamer Will Herring have agreed to walk away from their verbal agreement originally reached on Thursday. The reason for the decision is unknown at this time although ESPN's Todd Archer says it is not related to a failed physical.
Herring was the Saints special teams captain last year, and was set to be a core special teams piece for the Cowboys in 2014. He was set to make just over $1 million in Dallas this year, instead he will remain a free agent.
