Cowboys Release Six Players To Make Room For New Acquisitions

The Cowboys did a little housecleaning.

In order to make room for the incoming draft picks and undrafted free agents, the Cowboys released a small group of players today. Some of these guys you might not have even realized were on the roster. The names:

G Chris Degeare - Originally a fifth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2010, he was signed to a reserves/futures contract back in January. 
DT Frank Kearse - A 2011 seventh round pick of the Dolphins the Cowboy picked up Kearse off of the Titans practice squad last December.
WR Lance Lewis - An undrafted free agent from East Carolina in 2012, signed with the Redskins. Dallas picked him up at the end of December, 2013.
DE Tristan Okpalaugo - A 2013 undrafted free agent with the Vikings and Dolphins practice squad, joined Dallas on a reserves/futures contract in January of this year.
LB Quinton Spears - Undrafted free agent to the Dolphins in 2011. Joined Dallas on a reserves/futures contract in January of this year.
LB Jabara Williams - Seventh round pick of the Rams in 2011, bounced around to the Bears and Rams before  joining Dallas on a reserves/futures contract in January of this year.
