Dallas Cowboys OTA Report: Day 1 (Open Thread)

A rolling open thread of important updates from the Cowboys first OTA practice.

Rick Yeatts

We'll keep this thread open throughout the day to track any interesting developments from the Dallas Cowboys first organized team activity practice this week. All eyes will be on Tony Romo, the defensive line, where the rookie draft picks fall into the rotation, and various other storylines.

You should keep refreshing this thread periodically as we add tweets or other notes from Valley Ranch. Latest updates will appear at the top (below the dotted line).

------------------------

We have a thread up to discuss the Sean Lee injury, here. We don't know exactly what it is yet, some kind of leg injury.

A unicorn sighting.

Players being held out for one reason or another.

Bernadeau making a play for left guard over Ron Leary?

Filling out the defensive line.

More defensive starters.

Kyle Wilber joins Lee, Carter as the starting LBs.

Romo taking it easy.

More on Melton and Tyrone Crawford.

Gotta like #50 being back.

Turns out Henry Melton is at the practice, how much will he participate?

Zack Martin is running with the 1's at RG.

Tony Romo is present at the first OTA and is throwing the ball.

Also, it's good to see Sean Lee back on the field and getting ready for practice. Sure, the defensive line was beat up last year, but when Sean Lee went down, a bad situation went to really bad. Unfortunately, as noted earlier, neither Henry Melton or Anthony Spencer are ready to participate. Melton will be brought along slowly with the hope he can participate in training camp. Spencer is likely a PUP candidate.
