Cowboys @ Dolphins: Game Day Open Thread

The Dallas Cowboys will face the Miami Dolphins in the all-important third preseason game. This is usually referred to as the dress rehearsal but the Cowboys are not planning to expose Tony Romo for more than a couple of series. So only the very beginning of the game will be anything resembling the first unit on offense. On defense, we still have a lot of injury issues to deal with keeping some of the starters out of the lineup.

According to the DMN, Morris Claiborne will be held out of the game as will Gavin Escobar. The others not playing include S Jeff Heath, CB B.W. Webb, S Matt Johnson, S Johnny Thomas, LB DeVonte Holloman, LB Orie Lemon, DT Henry Melton, DE Ben Gardner, OT Darrion Weems, DE DeMarcus Lawrence and DT Terrell McClain.

Hopefully Melton and McClain will at least get some reps in during the fourth preseason game, but they might just sit out the whole preseason schedule and return for the opener against the 49ers.
