Dallas Cowboys Roster Cuts 2014: 53-Man Roster Settled For Now, Ryan Williams Cut

The final 53, until the next transaction.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys got down to their 53-man roster limit today, among the notables released was RB Ryan Williams. Williams made a strong push in preseason games running hard and catching the ball out of the backfield. When healthy, he can help a team. The Cowboys might try to get him through to the practice squad if he's not claimed.

QB Dustin Vaughan made it.

It appears the Cowboys thought Lavar Edwards from Tennessee was a better option at DE than Ken Boatright, they acquired him for a 7th-round pick.

Expect a handful of guys who made the cut to not make the cut over the next few days as the Cowboys add players through waivers, trades, or fee agents. Many of the guys that have been cut today will end up on the practice squad if not claimed through waivers.
