Cowboys George Selvie Still Not Practicing, Rolando McClain "Tweaks" Knee

Injury report for the Cowboys first practice of the week.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys, those that made the final 53-man roster or made the practice squad, began their preparations for the San Francisco 49ers today.

Returning to practice today for the first time since early in training camp is defensive tackle Terrell McClain. The Cowboys liked what they saw from McClain early on and the thought was that if he got healthy, he might start or see heavy rotation at the 1-technique. He participated in the early part of today's light practice. Also practicing were Henry Melton and Morris Claiborne, two other players who will certainly be starting on defense in week one if they remain healthy.

Other Cowboys not practicing were George Selvie, Anthony Spencer and Darrion Weems.

Selvie is still nursing a sore shoulder, and we're still waiting on Spencer and likely will be for a couple more weeks until he plays.

Here is the description of what happened to Rolando McClain.

Also, linebacker Rolando McClain appeared to tweak his right knee during drills Monday. He hit a blocking sled and started cursing. The athletic trainer then had him put a sleeve on his right knee. But while the other linebackers went through drills, McClain walked around in a circle behind the other players. He paced back and forth, sometimes shaking his head.
