The Cowboys moved their practice from Valley Ranch to the Highland Park High School indoor field today because of rain. In previous cases of inclement weather, the Cowboys have been able to move to AT&T Stadium, but that wasn't possible today because the Cotton Bowl is being played there between Baylor and Michigan State.
Practice wasn't open to the media as a result of the move, so practice reports are a bit sparse, but Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News has the lowdown on who did and did not attend anyway (courtesy of the Cowboys' public relations staff):
Right tackle Doug Free (injured left ankle/foot), linebacker Anthony Hitchens (right high ankle sprain), defensive tackle Nick Hayden (shoulder) and safety C.J. Spillman (groin) aren’t practicing Thursday. The four missed Wednesday’s practice as well. The four players spent Thursday’s practice working on the side with the Cowboys’ athletic training staff.
Rolando McClain (knee) had been limited in practice on Wednesday, but multiple reports say he was a full participant at practice today. Fellow linebacker Dekoda Watson also participated in practice at the Highland Park facility. The newest Cowboy, recently signed linebacker James Anderson also practiced and is wearing No. 58.
As per his season-long routine, Tony Romo did not attend practice on Wednesday, but he returned as a full participant at today's practice.
Meanwhile ...
The Detroit Lions are practicing inside today. Music blaring, prepping for that AT&T Stadium crowd on Sunday
