The big game is finally set and the NFL season will soon come to a close. On February 1st, the Seattle Seahawks will try to defend their World Championship against a team that is no stranger to the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots. The game will be on NBC at 6:30 PM EST.
The Seahawks secured their spot in the title game by performing a miracle on Sunday. They were losing to the Green Bay Packers 19-7 with just a little over two minutes left in the game. They looked done, cooked. Somehow, they got up off the mat, scored a couple of touchdowns, a two-point conversion that was unbelievably lucky, and recovered and onside kick. As bad as the Cowboys' loss was to Green Bay last week in terms of a gut punch, this was equivalent or more for Green Bay.
The other half of the bracket didn't have the same issue. Tom Brady led the Patriots on a rout of the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7. In a game that many thought would be closer, New England's quality play on both sides of the ball shone brightly. Andrew Luck will have to wait another year before he gets a chance to take his team to the mountaintop.
So now, in two weeks, we got the defending champs against a quarterback who has won three rings and will be looking for another. The Seahawks opened as the early 2.5 point favorites but that margin has been dropping to either a point or a pick 'em.
Who ya got, BTB? Make your pick in the comments and explain why that team will win.
