Week 7 NFL Picks: Who Will Take The Lead In The NFC East?

This season, 47 of 91 games have been decided by seven points or less, tied for the second-most through the first six weeks of a season in NFL history. And odds are that it's going to be another weekend of tight scores and 4th-quarter comebacks.

In the NFC East, the three teams not from Washington have a chance to grab the division lead this weekend.

The Eagles travel to Carolina, where they'll face the unbeaten Panthers in a game that will likely see them drop to 3-4 and out of the division lead. Fresh off a nail biter in Seattle, the Panthers are 9-1 in their last ten regular season games and have won nine in a row, while the Eagles are 4-6 in their last 10 games. Cam Newton is playing like an MVP candidate and Luke Kuechly is back. We like the Panthers in this one.

The Cowboys travel to New York where a win could leave them in first place in the East and drop the Giants to 3-4. The Giants will have to deal with a new-look Dallas team that has had a bye week to heal up and come up with some new wrinkles, and is looking for its eighth straight road win against a division opponent. We like the Cowboys in this one, partly because we're homers, and partly because we like what the Cowboys defensive line will do to Eli Manning.

The Redskins host the Buccaneers, and if the Vegas odds are anything to go by, they should come out on top and improve to 3-4. We grudgingly pick them for the win, but will cheer for Tampa all day.
