Earlier this week, we asked our readers to pick the straight-up winners for Week 8. 220 readers submitted their picks for the 14 games, and picked the safe route for the most part:
Our readers picked the favorites in 12 of the 14 games. The two exceptions are the Cowboys over the Seahawks and the Bengals over the Steelers, though the line for that game fell the Steelers' way only when it was announced that Ben Roethlisberger would be playing on Sunday.
Judging by how the vote went, we can expect tight games in Baltimore and Houston, though those games are probably not going to garner a lot of interest. The four teams playing in those two games have a combined record of 6-21.
With the Eagles and Redskins on their bye week, the Giants are the only NFC East team left to root against this weekend, and 86% of our Pick 256 participants are doing that anyway, as they picked the Saints for the win over the Giants.
But which other team are you rooting against tomorrow, even if you may have picked them for the win?
Would you like a Johnny Manziel-led Cleveland team to show up the 5-2 Cardinals? How about rooting against the four undefeated teams left in the league? Might you even like the 49ers to bring Jeff Fisher a little bit closer to his 16th non-winning season in 22 years as head coach?
Let us know in the comments section who you'll be rooting against this weekend.
Here's a link to the Excel file with all the picks for Week 8, for those who are interested in tracking the results themselves.

Once you open the file, you'll see a blue title bar into which you can enter the winning teams to see where you end up among all participants. The title bar is currently populated with the winner of the Thursday game, as well as the consensus picks for the remaining games. If you want to see how you fared during or after the weekend games, simply input your own picks into the title bar and see how many correct picks you have.
In any case, have fun with the file and good luck with your picks.
