It’s Week 14 of the NFL season and only four games remain to decide who advances to the playoffs. Who makes "the tournament" is anybody's guess. Only the Carolina Panthers have clinched a playoff spot so far, though four more teams could do that this weekend: The Bengals, Patriots, Broncos, and Cardinals can either clinch their divisions or clinch a playoff spot this weekend, depending on how some of the other games play out.
In the NFC, not a single team has been eliminated from playoff contention yet, and in the AFC, only the 2-8 Browns have been eliminated so far.
For many of the remaining teams, the season could be over after this week, which makes this another potentially exciting weekend. Our panel this week favors the Cowboys over the Packers and projects the following results for the other NFC East teams, all of which remain in contention for the division title at this point:
- Philadelphia loses at home to Buffalo
- Washington loses in Chicago
- New York wins in Miami
