The Dallas Cowboys will play the New York Jets on a short week, and they will do so without their starting middle linebacker. Rolando McClain had hoped to pass the protocols after he suffered a concussion in the last game, but was unable to do so in time for Saturday night's game. He will be on the sideline and Anthony Hitchens will get the start.

The Cowboys might also be without cornerback Morris Claiborne. He is suffering a hamstring injury and has not practiced this week, but he has not been ruled out yet. Claiborne will officially be doubtful but barring a miracle he will be out. Byron Jones will likely have to slide over to the corner spot, continuing his rookie season of playing just about everywhere on the defense.

The Cowboys have four players listed as probable, DeMarcus Lawrence, Jeff Heath, David Irving and Kyle Wilber. All four are expected to play on Saturday night.

The Jets have a stable of players listed as probable but all are expected to play. Only wide receiver Devin Smith is ruled out for the game/
