Can You Outpick The Pros In Week 16? Pick 256 Results & Leaderboard

Pick 256 is a season-long contest in which BTB members and readers get to pick the straight-up winners for all games each week. Last week, we challenged 188 participants to outpick the BTB frontpage writers, and many responded with strong results.

Overall, the Pick 256 Consensus got 11 picks right, the same number as the BTB writers. But where the writers' results were pretty tightly bunched (Danny Phantom with 12 correct picks, three writers with 11, four writers with 10), the Pick 256 participants showed a larger spread:

33 participants beat the BTB writers outright, 47 participants beat the writers' consensus.Apparently, our writer picks were not a big enough challenge, so this week we're asking you to outpick the pros.

Aggie Man and revellyre both had very strong weeks, with 14 correct picks each, and were able to close the gap to the previous leader oldboysfan (11 correct picks), so that we now have three participants sharing the top spot on our season leaderboard. Note that those three guys are the only three participants to have outperformed the Vegas favorites with their picks over the entire season.

The fine print

Submissions have to be in by kickoff time of the Thursday night game, which kicks off at 8:25 pm ET on Thursday. To keep a level playing field for everybody, late submissions will not be accepted (all entries are time-stamped). This gives you a good two days to submit your picks.

Every week, we'll publish a spreadsheet with all the picks here on BTB, usually on Saturday.

The entry form contains detailed instruction on how you can change your picks at a later point, read them carefully. You can of course come back at any time before kickoff on Thursday and submit new picks. When there are multiple picks by the same BTB member, our pick tracker will always default to the latest entry.
