The Dallas Cowboys, and especially Rod Marinelli, were very high on linebacker Justin Durant's play last season before his season-ending injury. The Cowboys were expected to make a play to re-sign Durant in free agency, but it looks they might have been scooped by the Atlanta Falcons. From the man who never sleeps, Adam Schefter:
Falcons adding LBs: Former Texans LB Brooks Reed is expected to sign with Atlanta as is former Cowboys LB Justin Durant, per sources.

The Cowboys have plenty of holes to fill at linebacker with Durant, Rolando McClain and Bruce Carter all being free agents. They will likely turn their attention to McClain and Carter. They will get Sean Lee back and they also have Anthony Hitchens waiting in the wings, and the upcoming draft. Plus, they did sign Keith Rivers just recently, he might figure in their rotation, too. This is only a report at this point, but Schefter is pretty reliable, so we might have seen the last of Justin Durant.
