Of the Dallas Cowboys free agents at linebacker, it was always assumed that Bruce Carter would be the most likely to leave. As it turned out, Justin Durant was the first to leave, but Carter might not be far behind. He is setting up a visit to Tampa Bay, a team that runs a very similar defense, and has Rod Marinelli's old partner in charge, Lovie Smith. This would make sense for them.
LB Bruce Carter to visit the Buccaneers. Looking to capitalize on big 5-INT season with the Cowboys b— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 10, 2015
Also, even though multiple teams are interested in DeMarco Murray, the word we're hearing is he still hasn't received the big offer he was hoping for, and some say that the Cowboys are still the favorites to sign him.
With @MikeGarafolo on this one. Cowboys still leaders in DeMarco Murray race. OAK/JAX more realistic than PHI at this point.— P. Schrager (@PSchrags) March 10, 2015
All we can do is wait and watch.
