Cowboys Rookie Mini-Camp: Randy Gregory, Chaz Green Head To Locker Room Early

It was a hot day in Texas.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys held their first practice of their three-day rookie mini-camp today. News started filtering out that Randy Gregory, the defensive end picked in the second round, and Chaz Green, an offensive tackle picked in third round, were helped off the field. Before anybody gets too worried, it doesn't appear to be anything serious, unlike what happened to Dante Fowler, Jr.

Clarence Hill tweets that Gregory seemed to be affected by the heat at practice.

Jon Machota has a picture posted.

He also noted that Jason Garrett seemingly confirms the heat theory.

Finally, word came that it was heat that got Gregory.

No specific word yet on what happened to Green, but it may be more of the same. Also leaving early today were Lucky Whitehead and Deontay Greenberry.
