BTB Welcomes A New Front-Page Writer: Nice To Meet You, Cowboys Nation

[ED. Note] Greetings BTB. Rabblerousr hanging up his cleats leaves a big hole to fill here at BTB. Rabbs was a Hall of Famer and will be greatly missed by all. Hopefully he'll drop in from time to time and mingle. But, life goes on, so we at BTB will be adding some new blood to the blog. One of our new additions is Ryan Ratty. His introduction is below so join me in welcoming him to BTB. -- Dave

Hello all, my name is Ryan Ratty and this is my first post for Blogging The Boys. I've been a fan of the Cowboys for as long as I can remember. Despite being from New Jersey, my love for the Cowboys started when I first witnessed Emmitt Smith and when I played with Drew Bledsoe in Backyard Football. My love and passion for the Cowboys has turned into being not only a fan, but a writer as well.

My specialty as a Cowboys writer actually comes after the season. Scouting the draft is one of my favorite things. It's a hobby of mine and a part of my work as a writer that I find really meaningful and important. Even the most professional scouts can spend months looking at one prospect and while they look like a sure thing, the reality is that so much can go right and so much can go wrong in an NFL career. Nevertheless, I try to spend a few hours a day looking at prospects and seeing who will be the next superstar for the Cowboys.

If you are ever looking to talk, I'd be glad to answer some of your questions. I welcome all questions and if you don't necessarily agree with something I write, I'd be glad to hear your opinion. Maybe your opinion will sway mine a little bit. I decided to write for BTB because it is respected and it's one of the most-followed Cowboys sites across the Internet. I will do my best to live up to that reputation.
