It's a sad fact that the Dallas Cowboys didn't make the playoffs. But life in the NFL goes on without us, and this weekend there are four playoff games going on. The AFC wild-card teams mix it up on Saturday and the NFC gets its chance on Sunday.
Saturday, Jan. 9th
Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans - 4:20 PM EST (ESPN/ABC) NRG Stadium, Houston TX
The Chiefs have pulled of a miraculous season. They started 1-5 then won 10 straight to finish at 11-5. They are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. The Texans managed to win a weak AFC South, but they do have J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins, two players who can change a game.
Pick: Chiefs 24-16
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals - 8:15 PM EST (CBS) Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
Somehow the Pittsburgh Steelers have managed to stay viable through a slew of injuries to their QB and running backs. Cincinnati was a juggernaut then had to manage things when Andy Dalton went out with injury. It looks like Dalton won't play.
Pick: Steelers 31-28
Sunday, Jan. 10th
Seattle Seahawks @ Minnesota Vikings 1:05 PM EST (NBC) TCF Bank Stadium Minneapolis, MN
It's going to be very cold for this game. The Vikings will rely on Adrian Peterson, but the Seahawks defense can toughen up at times. They also hold the playoff experience factor.
Pick: Seahawks 17-16
Green Bay Packers @ Washington 4:40 PM EST (Fox) FedEx Field, Landover, MD
Someone had to win the NFC East and Washington did it. Kirk Cousins has been a real find. The Packers offense is struggling, but they have Aaron Rodgers and he can make things happen when needed.
Pick: Packers 24-21
