Reports are surfacing that Dallas is adding experience and talent to their front office.

Accoring to a report by Alex Marvez of Fox Sports, the Cowboys are adding former Falcons Director of Player Personnel Lionel Vital to their personnel department.

Before spending the last eight years in various roles with the Falcons, Vital spent time with the Ravens, Patriots, and Jets. He was hired into scouting in 1991 by none other than Bill Belichick during his stint as head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Vital brings 25 years of personnel experience to the Cowboys working with the likes of Belichick Ozzie Newsome, Scott Pioli, Thomas Demitroff and others, and will likely pair with Will McClay at the top of the organizations personnel and scouting departments.

It is not clear at this point what Vital's exact role within the organization will be, but at the very least it provides the Cowboys with another experienced personnel man to work alongside McClay, and perhaps provide some security in the event that McClay accepts a General Manager position with another club next offseason.
