Cowboys 2016 NFL Draft Fan Prediction Results

We know that the Cowboys traditionally whittle down the 450 or so draft-eligible players to 130 or so names that adorn their final draft board, and which the war-room cameras have learned to studiously avoid in more recent years.

In the week of the 2016 NFL Draft we posted our annual BTB draft prediction post. The challenge was fairly straightforward: we asked our members to submit a list of up to 30 players, irrespective of round, that they thought the Cowboys would draft or sign as undrafted free agents. Each correct name predicted, be it a draft pick or a subsequent UDFA signing, was awared one point

We kicked things off with predictions from three of our front page writers, Joey Ickes, OCC, and rabblerousr (retired). In total we fared quite well, largely because we collectively hit on a surprisingly high number of undrafted free agents. Here are the results of each of us:

Joey Ickes: 6 (Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Rodney Coe, Jeremiah McKinnon, Rolan Milligan, Deon King)
Rabblerouser: 5 (Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Rodney Coe, Jeremiah McKinnon, Rolan Milligan)
OCC: 5 (Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott, Charles Tapper, Rodney Coe, Deon King)

BTB members flocked to the prediction post in droves, and 88 predictions were submitted, of which 85 hit on at least one draft pick/UDFA, a pretty impressive number. But before we go into the individual scores, here are the hit rates for each rookie:

This year's title as Cowboys Draft Whisperers goes to three BTB members, cOUboy12, Markythearky, RealAlbertEinstein, who all got at least two of the first three Cowboys picks right, a better performance than any of us front pagers managed. Congratulations, folks.
