Dallas Cowboys Minicamp Updates From Day 2 Of Practice

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys finished their second practice (out of three) in their June minicamp. We got some updates about injuries and also some clues as to who is where on the depth chart.

The disappointing news is that Morris Claiborne tweaked his hamstring in yesterday's practice so the Cowboys were cautious with him today.

Maybe It was all very precautionary, but Claiborne with any kind of injury starts to feed into the narrative that he will never be completely healthy. With Claiborne out, and Orlando Scandrick still out while rehabbing his ACL for training camp, who manned the corner spots?

But the big star in the secondary on the day was not a corner, but safety Jeff Heath.

As the Rolando McClain watch continues, this update.

Your first-team defensive line.

Interesting, but wouldn't read too much into it, I don't think there is any doubt Cedric Thornton will be the starter at 1-tech. But I guess we need to start keeping an eye on Ryan Russell, who is slowly becoming someone people are talking about at Valley Ranch.

Looking for an UDFA who made an impact?
