Defense Forces Turnover, Cowboys Lead 27-14 At Halftime

Cowboys tack on another score before halftime.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

While the offense has put on a show this preseason, the defense has its moments. For the second straight week, the defense has forced a turnover that has led to a Cowboys score. Shaneil Jenkins gets to the quarterback, knocking the ball away and Cedric Thorton picks it up and returns it to the four yard line.

This is the second consecutive week Jenkins has had a splash play (he had the teams only sack last week against the Rams). He’s making quite the impression on his new team.

Prescott couldn’t find the end zone on the last possession, but he did entertain his mentor with that weird sideline jump pass.
