Fantasy Football 2017 waiver wire: Best pickups for week six of NFL action

Looking for the next big move in your fantasy league? We’ve got some advice.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Quarterback

Josh McCown, owned in 4% of Yahoo leagues

The journeyman quarterback is a decent stream this week against the Patriots who have given up the most points to quarterbacks.

Jacoby Brissett, owned in 12% of Yahoo leagues

The Titans defense is giving up the second-most points to quarterbacks this season. Brissett will have a good chance to put up decent numbers in this one.

Running Back

Dion Lewis, owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues

The Jets are giving up the fourth-most points to running backs. New England could find a running game in this matchup.

Jamal Charles, owned in 35% of Yahoo leagues

The Giants are a middle of the pack run defense, the Broncos are one of the best running offenses, Charles is a low-end RB2.

Wide Receiver

Jaron Brown, owned in 48% of Yahoo leagues

The Buccaneers are giving up the most points to opposing receivers and he’s becoming a more consistent target for Carson Palmer.

Mike Wallace, owned in 33% of Yahoo leagues

The Bears are giving up the ninth-most points to receivers this season. Wallace is outperforming his projections as of late.

Tight End

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, owned in 28% of Yahoo leagues

The Patriots are giving up the fifth-most points to tight ends and Jenkins is starting to score touchdowns in the Jets offense.

David Njoku, owned in 7% of Yahoo leagues

The rookie tight end is starting to perform for the Browns and snagged himself a touchdown this week. The Texans don’t cover tight ends well and he’s a decent stream for action.

Defense

Washington Redskins, owned in 6% of Yahoo leagues

This defense in Washington has been playing awfully well but ran into the Chiefs. It’s a much better matchup with the 49ers this week.

Atlanta Falcons, owned in 22%of Yahoo leagues

The Dolphins are giving up the third-most points to opposing defenses and the Falcons opportunistic-style could work in their favor.

Kicker

Dustin Hopkins, owned in 10% of Yahoo leagues

The 49ers are giving up the fourth-most points to kickers this season, the Redskins should get plenty of opportunities.

Nick Novak, owned in 1% of Yahoo leagues

The Raiders are giving up the fifth-most points to kickers this season and he had nine points against the Giants this past week.
