Report: Sean Lee unlikely to play against Eagles, Thanksgiving Day also in jeopardy

A tough road just got a little tougher for the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys essentially played their entire game against the Atlanta Falcons without the services of Sean Lee. His absence showed, as the Falcons crushed the Cowboys 27-7.

Unfortunately it looks like the Cowboys could be without Lee for an even longer stretch, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Lee suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 3 Dallas win against the Arizona Cardinals on the road, and as a result he missed the next two contests against the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers.

Dallas was officially 0-2 without Sean Lee and 5-1 with him before entering the Atlanta game. While he did technically play in Atlanta, he suffered his new hamstring injury early in the game.

The Cowboys are at their annual point of quick turnaround. Their next three games:

That’s three games in a span of 12 total days, the first two of which occur across five total days.

The game against the Philadelphia Eagles is the biggest of the season for the Cowboys. They will already be without Ezekiel Elliott and Dan Bailey, might be without Tyron Smith, and to have no Sean Lee could repeat the process from Atlanta which wasn’t a winning one.

There is still a lot of football to be played and the Cowboys have a quarterback in Dak Prescott that will always keep them in it. But Sean Lee means everything to the Cowboys on defense.

We’ll keep you updated as more information regarding Sean Lee continues to surface.
