Favorite Final Regular Season Week Game in Cowboys History

Which final game of the regular season in Cowboys' history do you consider to be the most memorable? Here's my list of the top five, listed from five to one.

5) 1995- Dallas 37 at Arizona 13- Dallas locks up home field advantage for the playoffs, Kevin Williams has his career game and Emmitt Smith breaks the NFL single season TD record....all against Cowboys nemesis Buddy Ryan.

4) 2009- Dallas 24 Philadelphia 0- After being dismantled by the Eagles in game 16 of the 2008 season, the Cowboys bounce back to dominate the Birds in shutout fashion to win the NFC East. A home playoff win over the same Eagles one week later made this one even sweeter.

3) 1970- Dallas 52 Houston 10- The Cowboys battled back from mid-season woes to run off five straight victories to capture the NFC East title en route to their first Super Bowl appearance. Bob Hayes was the star on this day, catching four TD passes from Craig Morton.

2) 1993- Dallas 16 NY Giants 13 (OT)- Everyone was on the line against Dallas' rivals from the Big Apple, the division title, home field advantage in the playoffs and a week of rest. Emmitt Smith made sure the Cowboys would not be denied, leading the team to one of the more exciting and meaningful wins in team history.

1) 1979- Dallas 35 Washington 34- The other games on this list meant more in the context of their seasons, but there's no more memorable regular season game in Cowboys' history than the day Roger Staubach and the Cowboys completed a miracle comeback to shock rival Washington. The fact that this was Roger the Dodger's final regular season game at the helm of America's Team adds to the contest's lore.
