2018 NFL Mock Draft Database: 30 mocks, 10 prospects, one early favorite for Dallas Cowboys

In our inaugural mock draft database of the season, we take a peek at 30 different mock drafts published over the last month to see whether we can get a better feeling for the early names mocked to the Cowboys.

As it currently stands, 24 of the 30 mocks are projecting the Cowboys to take a defensive player. If you were locked in on a wide receiver or perhaps even a tight end, you may have to start rethinking your position.

We have 118 days until the first round of the 2018 NFL draft kicks off, so a lot can and will happen until the Cowboys make their first pick. The mock draft community has seemingly locked in on a defensive tackle as the number one priority for the Cowboys, and Christian Wilkins would indeed be a very interesting prospect for the Cowboys, as Joe Marino of FanRagSports explains:

Arguably the most physically gifted defensive tackle prospect in the class, Wilkins would give Dallas’ defensive line rotation a much-needed influx of talent. A blend of dynamic movement skills and power, Wilkins can make plays in every direction and he plays with a relentless motor.

Maliek Collins has been underwhelming and is better utilized in relief duty. Adding Wilkins would allow Collins to play more situationally, improving the starting lineup and depth of the Cowboys defensive tackle position.
