The Dallas Cowboys head to New York to take on the Giants in an NFC East showdown. The Cowboys are desperately trying to stay in the playoff race, while the Giants are just trying to get something positive going. The last few weeks have been chaos and dysfunction for the Giants, with the botched benching of Eli Manning, losing again on Sunday, then firing their head coach and general manager, topped off by the reinstatement of Manning as the starting QB. Got all that?
The Giants are trying to rally around Eli, but the Cowboys have other plans. They didn’t get the result they wanted on Thursday night when the Falcons beat the Saints, but they still need to keep winning to keep the pressure on the other NFC contenders for a wild card spot.
The Cowboys hope their defense will be able to overwhelm a bad offensive line for the Giants, who are also without many of their best weapons on offense because of injury. The running game is poor, and their main hope is for Manning to get hot, and for the Cowboys offense to tank.
That’s where Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offensive line come in. The weather is going to be cold and windy, a good day to run the ball and ply the short passing game. Dak needs to not turn the ball over and make some key throws, while the running game pounds the Giants into submission. Control the trenches and don’t turn the ball over, a recipe for victory.
Here’s your info for the game.
