The Friday practice is the final one for the Dallas Cowboys as they prepare for the New York Giants on Sunday. Three players were missing from today’s practice - David Irving, La’el Collins and Orlando Scandrick. And the stories around those three differ.
Orlando Scandrick is almost certainly not going to play. The fractures of the transverse process bones in his back will need at least this week to heal, if not more. The Cowboys reshuffled secondary will have to do a little more reshuffling this week.
La’el Collins has also not practiced all week, but most observers believe he will play, and that his practice schedule could be like this for a while. He played last week with the same bulging disk injury and did well, so the expectation is he will go again this week.
The third player, David Irving, unfortunately doesn’t seem to be ready for a return. He hasn’t practiced all week and the feeling is he won’t go on Sunday. The Cowboys could change up their personnel positioning a bit because of his absence.
With Cowboys DT David Irving not expected to play Sunday with a concussion, the Cowboys will move DT Maliek Collins back over to 1-tech spot and could work in recent addition Datone Jones as well as Lewis Neal/Richard Ash.

The good news is Sean Lee and Tyron Smith both seem like locks to play with no recurrence or worsening of injuries for either.
Also, everything seems fine with Dak Prescott.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was taking snaps Friday in practice with a glove on his left (non-throwing) hand. He's not expected to wear a glove on his right hand Sunday at the Giants despite the injury.
