Cowboys 2017 Preseason Schedule Revealed, Updated With Training Camp News

The Cowboys five preseason games for the 2017 season.

NFL: Pro Football Hall of Fame Game-Green Bay Packers vs Indianapolis Colts Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys will play five preseason games in 2017 and today we learned who the opponents will be, and the approximate dates they will be played. We already knew Dallas would open the 2017 season with the first preseason game, the Hall of Fame Game against the Arizona Cardinals on August 3rd, 2017. That game is on a Thursday night at 8 PM ET. That will be the Cowboys only nationally broadcast preseason game.

Here is the rest of their preseason schedule.

WEEK 1: AUG. 10-14

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams

WEEK 2: AUGUST 17-21

Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys

WEEK 3: AUGUST 24-27

Oakland Raiders at Dallas Cowboys

WEEK 4: AUG. 31-SEPT. 1

Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

So the Cowboys open up with the Cardinals, then take on the Rams out in Los Angeles, a convenient trip from their training camp base in Oxnard. Looks like the Cowboys will be heading back to Texas in mid-August for a game at home against the Colts, and will host the Raiders the following week. Then, to close out the preseason, the Cowboys will mosey down the road to Houston for what could have been the Romo Bowl, but he retired.

The entire preseason schedule can found here.

Some more info on key training camp dates this year:

The practices at The Star in Frisco, Texas from Aug. 21-29 will be open to the public.
