Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are the favorites to host the 2018 NFL Draft at the The Star, the Cowboys headquarters in Frisco, Texas. The NFL draft had been held every year in New York City since 1965 until 2014. The NFL decided that it was time to move the draft around and let fans around the country get a taste of the action. For two years it was held in Chicago and this year it will be held in Philadelphia.
The Cowboys hope to be hosting the 2018 event at The Star, their headquarters, their practice facility and an entertainment complex that covers 91 acres of land. Philadelphia is also a contender for the 2018 draft while Kansas City and Green Bay are considered longshots to host it. The announcement won’t be made until after this year’s draft.
The Star features a 12,000 seat stadium in the Ford Center where the main action would presumably take place. Jerry has also indicated that he would like to host the Scouting Combine at The Star, but that event will stay in Indianapolis until at least 2020 under the current contract.
If the 2018 NFL draft was held at the Star, would you attend?
