UPDATE: We had previously not change to the new BTB Podcast on this page, it is now updated. We apologize for the error.

Greetings BTB!

The BTB Cowboys Podcast is back, and today we’re discussing the Cowboys defensive depth chart. We’ll run through the roster by position group and see where the Cowboys are strong, where they are weak, and pontificate on some of the fierce position battles that are sure to happen.

Discussion points:

  1. The defensive line is full of versatile players that are hard to pin down. David Irving, Taco Charlton, Tyrone Crawford, where will these guys play? Can Damontre Moore or Charles Tapper make an impact?
  2. At linebacker, it will all hinge on the recovery of Jaylon Smith. Can he nail down the Mike position?
  3. The Cowboys let a couple of corners go, and added three in draft picks Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis and Marquez White. Is Awuzie going to shift between corner and safety? Where will vets Orlando Scandrick, Anthony Brown and Nolan Carroll line up?
  4. Byron Jones is holding it down at safety, but who will be joining him? Is it Jeff Heath time? Or will draft pick Xavier Woods slide in there?

Landon gives you insight into all of this.

It’s a great episode, make sure to give it a listen and then let us know your opinions in the comments.
