The Dallas Cowboys have put together a Dak Prescott documentary, a “Dakumentary” if you will

Have you ever wanted to watch a documentary about the Dallas Cowboys QB? Your wish will be granted on Wednesday, July 19th.

The story of Dak Prescott is an incredible one, but with so many layers and details. The fantastic digital team over at the mothership did their best to encapsulate it in Dak Prescott’s “#FinishThisFight” video - the series they did leading up to the playoffs - but it simply wasn’t enough.

On Wednesday, July 19th it appears that we’ll be treated to more of a feature film on the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Cowboys announced the news on Monday with a teaser trailer.

“Dak Prescott A Family Reunion” looks to be very powerful and a great retrospective on the man who holds the most spotlighted position in sports. It’s going to be great to see Dak go home because he is renowned there.

In fact, it was Dak Prescott’s Mississippi State family that put together the first video to be tied to #4 in his NFL days. This thank-you video from Bulldog fans last April was very touching and gave Cowboys fans a glimpse of the type of player they were getting.

It looks as if this documentary (Dakumentary really is so much cooler) will air on Wednesday, July 19th at 6pm CT on the Cowboys’ Periscope. Facebook Live, and YouTube accounts. It’s also advertised as being available on Apple TV (presumably the Cowboys app that they’ve been hyping for a while).

The digital team at the mothership has done a fantastic job when it comes to projects like this. While it’s going to be great for us to all see this footage, this decision is just another example of how brilliant the Cowboys are in what they do. A documentary (DAKUMENTARY!) from a specific NFL team’s production department? Atta boy, Jerry.
