It was a little over a week ago that debates all over the fanbase were happening in regards to the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster. If you wanted wide receiver Brian Brown to be a part of things, well today’s your lucky day. The Cowboys are planning on bringing him back.

Obviously if you’re Team Jameill Showers then this isn’t a move you’re fond of, but such is life in the NFL. Brian Brown looks to be re-joining the Dallas Cowboys soon, and one has to wonder why.

The Cowboys have six receivers on their 53-man roster currently; Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, Brice Butler, Ryan Switzer, and Noah Brown. After the first offensive play of the game on Sunday though, Terrance Williams went to the locker room with an apparent injury.

Terrance would return to the game, and play well, but Jason Garrett revealed later that Terrance had an ankle injury. For what it’s worth, Williams left the game in a walking boot.

If Williams were to have to miss any time, Noah Brown would likely be the man to get the call considering he’s on the roster. This could all be even more wide receiver insurance, or it could just be the move the team felt was right.

Brian Brown becomes the second wide receiver on the Cowboys practice squad, joining Lance Lenoir.
