Fantasy Football 2017 waiver wire: Best pickups for week four of NFL action

Looking for the next big move in your fantasy league? We’ve got some advice.

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Green Bay Packers Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Quarterbacks

Jay Cutler, owned in 38% of Yahoo Leagues

I know I failed you last week picking Cutler but this week can’t fail. Cutler is going up against the New Orleans Saints, who give up the most points to opposing quarterbacks.

Blake Bortles, owned in 12% of Yahoo Leagues

He just lit up the Ravens’ defense in London and now he gets the lowly Jets? You have to bring in Bortles and stream him for a week against a Jets’ defense giving up the third-most points to quarterbacks

Running Backs

Duke Johnson Jr., owned in 52% of Yahoo leagues

He started slow and that’s why he’s available in half of the leagues but he’s got a great matchup against the Bengals, they give up the eighth-most points to running backs.

Giovani Bernard, owned in 19% of Yahoo leagues

He’s becoming a bigger part of the offense and he’s a great target out of the passing game. Against the Browns, he could have a big day against a struggling team.

Wide Receivers

Geronimo Allison, owned in 9% of Yahoo leagues

He and Aaron Rodgers connected on six of eight targets for 122 yards. Allison is another deep threat with speed to pair with Jordy Nelson.

Kenny Stills, owned in 29% of Yahoo leagues

Going up against the Saints this week, I see an opportunity for Stills and Cutler to make a beautiful connection. Stills is a good play for the next several weeks.

Tight End

Cameron Brate, owned in 40% of Yahoo leagues

He caught all four targets and scored a touchdown. Out of all the waiver wire tight ends, he’s probably your best bet against the New York Giants, who have struggled to wrangle the position.

Defense

Bengals, owned in 20% of Yahoo leagues

They haven’t been the great defense we’ve known over the past few years but folks seem to gain confidence facing the Browns. Cleveland gives up the third-most points to defenses.

Kicker

Ryan Succop, owned in 25% of Yahoo leagues

Going up against the Texans in a divisional matchup, the kicker will be extra important. Houston gives up the tenth-most points to kickers.
