Another killer podcast from Landon McCool is now available. The Cowboys headed out to the desert and grabbed a hard-fought win over the Arizona Cardinals. How did they do it? Landon takes a look. The run game was stalled at the beginning, and the offense wasn’t clicking. Besides better blocking, Landon has a few offensive suggestions for opening things up. The Cowboys made adjustments as the game progressed, and the read-option is a big part.
In the passing game, we have to talk about Dak Prescott’s ability to get on the run out of the pocket, then fire darts deep downfield.
On the defensive side of the ball, things started out ugly, but they turned and got much better. Corner Jourdan Lewis was a player outside. The secondary has improved in general, making better close outs on blitzes, avoiding pick plays, etc. Check out Landon’s analysis of all of that. Then, of course, there is DeMarcus Lawrence.
There is a whole lot more in the podcast, so make yourself smarter and check it out, Landon does a phenomenal job!
