Practice Squad Update: Cowboys bringing TE Blake Jarwin back

The 2017 Practice Squad has now grown by one.

As the Cowboys begin finalizing their 53-man roster and its corresponding entities, they’ll also begin work on their practice squad. That has officially begun as they’ve brought back tight end Blake Jarwin.

This is a move that’s good for the Cowboys. They’ve got Jason Witten on gold jacket/veteran status, Rico Gathers who could be headed for IR, and two tight ends who had season-ending injuries a year ago in James Hanna and Geoff Swaim.

Depth is always great, and depth is what the Cowboys now have at this position group. Sometimes moves just make sense to the point that they need to happen, so much so that our own Tom Ryle called Jarwin making the practice squad.

The tight end position is clearly of great value to the Cowboys and their offensive scheme, so it is very likely they will have one on the PS. Jarwin had some very nice practices and preseason performances. Look for him to be signed if he clears.

What do we think of the newest practice squad member, BTB?
