The additions to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad continue to roll in. The latest: Brian Brown and Jameill Showers.

Brown was among a group of talented young receivers the Cowboys had in camp. The depth there wound up forcing the team to keep six wide receivers on the 53 man roster, including this year’s draftees Ryan Switzer and Noah Brown. With Andy Jones being claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans, the Cowboys had Brian Brown, Lance Lenoir, and Uzoma Nwachukwu to choose from in looking to players that were with the team in camp. All had their moments, but Brown probably had the fewest bad ones.

Showers is a different story, having spent last year on the practice squad as well and having switched from quarterback to safety after the emergence of Dak Prescott. He is a player that frankly may be most valuable on the PS, because his background helps him do so much on the scout team. He is also likely being rewarded for his loyalty and dedication to the team despite being pushed out of his preferred position by more talented players and Kellen Moore.
