Best Super Bowl food for watching the game

What’s your go-to food for Super Bowl Sunday?

We got asked the question: What is the best meal/food for watching a Super Bowl? That’s a tough one to answer if you’re not a foodie. Me, I’ll eat pretty much whatever my wife, or a Super Bowl party host, gives me on a Super Bowl Sunday.

I am kind of partial to chili, I once served that at a Super Bowl party I hosted (Super Bowl 27). But given the human body’s reaction to eating a bunch of beans, that one can be tricky with so many people in an enclosed space.

The web site Thrillist likes to post lists, and they have one for the most popular Super Bowl foods by state. Since the Cowboys are based in Texas, let’s check in on the most popular food in Texas for a Super Bowl. The winner is: Sausage Cheese Balls? Never had them, never even heard of them. Truthfully, though, I wouldn’t mind giving them a try. I also checked in on my current state, Georgia, and sliders topped the list there. Yes, that works, I could eat a plate full of sliders with room to spare.

For this particular Super Bowl, I believe I will dine on Roast Eagle covered with Philadelphia cream cheese. Yum!

What’s your go-to Super Bowl food or recipe?
