Report: Jon Gruden targeting Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown for Raiders staff

The exodus of the coaching staff in Dallas continues.

Jon Gruden isn't officially the Raiders head coach yet, but that apparently isn't stopping him from putting together a coaching staff anyway.

We already know that Cowboys special teams and assistant head coach Rich Bisaccia will be joining Gruden in Oakland.

Bisaccia was under contract in Dallas for another two years, but the Cowboys were gracious enough to let him leave anyway.

Gary Brown, the Cowboys' running backs coach, is no longer under contract, so he is free to pursue opportunities elsewhere. And it looks like he may follow Bisaccia to Oakland.

Brown had held the job with the Cowboys the past five seasons, during which he coached a succession of running backs to outstanding seasons.

[UPDATE]

Looks like the Cowboys aren't looking to give up Brown without a fight.

[End Update]

For the Cowboys, this would continue the (planned) exodus of assistant coaches out of Dallas.

In addition to Brown, quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson, wide receivers coach Derek Dooley, linebackers coach Matt Eberflus and secondary coach Joe Baker have expiring contracts.
