The Amari Cooper coming out party is officially scheduled for November 5th, 2018 when the Dallas Cowboys host the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. Dun dun dun dun!
America’s Team and the Titans are both coming off of their bye which means we’ll see rested efforts from the likes of Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Leighton Vander Esch. It’s their first time getting to take on the Titans with Marcus Mariota and Derrick Henry, who many Cowboys fans wanted over Zeke back in 2016, plus it’s the first time that Mike Vrabel will serve as a head coach at AT&T Stadium.
Jason Garrett is actually undefeated against head coaches who are in their first year with their team. His Cowboys beat Pat Shurmur’s New York Giants and Matt Patricia’s Detroit Lions earlier in the season, hopefully he can have a hat trick of victories like this over the first-timers.
Tennessee is also the state where Jason Witten grew up so this game is a homecoming for him in many senses as it’s his first time calling a Dallas Cowboys game since retiring to enter the ESPN booth. Coincidentally this is happening on the one-year anniversary of Tony Romo’s first Cowboys call which happened last year against the Kansas City Chiefs.
