There’s no doubt that Thursday night is a big measuring stick for the Dallas Cowboys. They’ll be taking on the 10-win New Orleans Saints, one of the teams most-favored to compete in Super Bowl LIII.
Many people have referred to the last time Dallas took on New Orleans in similar circumstances, the 2009 matchup when the Cowboys beat the then-undefeated Saints, as a hopeful sign of good things to come. That was a great day that a great player put away for the good guys.

It was of course DeMarcus Ware that put the icing on the cake for the Cowboys on that great night in December nine years ago. A different pass rusher by the same name seems to be ready to go this week, at least from an intensity perspective. DeMarcus Lawrence is ready.
Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence ain't scared of the Saints offense: "If you hit a [ mofo] in the mouth and then they ain't doing what they're regularly doing, putting up 50 points. Now, you got them where you want them at, and then you [mofo] choke their ass out."

Tank has done a great job of proving that he really is worth big-time money this season as he has 8.5 sacks through nine games. He’s one of the biggest pieces the Cowboys defense has and if they are to emerge victorious this week he’s going to have to be one of the biggest reasons why.
On Monday, Jason Garrett was asked if the fact that New Orleans is bringing one of the NFL’s better records to town heightens awareness to a degree. Essentially, does such a great team coming in make the team more focused because they are, well, really good?
DeMarcus Lawrence is a treasure and must be protected at all costs.

His 100% willingness to say how he feels makes him pretty unique in this day and age. I hope people don't get on his case too much for speaking his mind about an enormous game.
The Cowboys have done a great job of handling their business as of late and their last three wins have come when their backs were pressed tightly up against a wall. Lawrence is simply vocalizing that to another extent and noting that the Cowboys are ready for the challenge they’re facing, and it’s a pretty big one.
