This edition of TTN is a bit heavier on Eagles fan quotes, in part because there were more games than usual played in the afternoon slot leading to fewer comments from other fans, but also because everybody knows that Eagles tears are the most delicious - even if reading some of their comments reminds me uncomfortably of many a Cowboys thread this season.

Eagles Carson Wentz is overrated. Dude is just an average QB with a little athleticism. McNabb was far more accurate. Especially on deep throws. I don’t think we should extend him. There are better QBs coming into the league that can play the new NFL game. Wentz can’t.

Texans Having a legit #1 receiver is just huge for a QB. Dak’s gotten a lot of grief for his play of late, but it’s tough to succeed statistically with the level of WR talent he’s had lately. With Cooper in the mix he’s averaging 285 passing yards per game, 8.1 YPA, and 7.2 NYPA, all of which rank top ten. Lessons to be learned when it comes to judging quarterbacks, I think: context matters.
