Stephen Jones: Tyron Smith has a “good shot” to play on Sunday against the Eagles

Fingers crossed or a return of the Cowboys left tackle.

The last time that the Cowboys played a game on a Sunday was when they visited and defeated the Atlanta Falcons. That was also the last time we saw Tyron Smith.

Tyron has missed the last two games with a stinger and somehow the Cowboys have kept on winning. This week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is critical and having Tyron play in it would certainly help stabilize the offensive line. Thankfully, according to Stephen Jones on 105.3 The Fan Monday morning, there’s a “good shot” that he does play.

Sunday morning brought forth news that Sean Lee might not return against the Eagles, and seeing that Travis Frederick is unlikely to play this season is never easy but we’ve accepted it. The most relevant news here is undoubtedly Smith’s potential return, the month of December will be a lot less intimidating with him back in the fold.

The Cowboys won’t practice again until later in the week so hopefully Smith is indeed back on track.
