Well, one free agent target that was visiting with the Cowboys, La’Adrian Waddle, has decided to remain with the Patriots on a one-year deal.
Source: The #Patriots keep an important free agent after all. They’ve agreed to terms with OT LaAdrian Waddle on a 1-year deal. Their potential LT.

With Waddle re-signed, that leaves Cowboys visitor Cameron Fleming still out on the market and slightly less important to New England now. Fleming was rumored to be the tackle that New England preferred but he spent two days at the Star in Frisco:
The #Cowboys are hosting #Patriots OT Cameron Fleming for a visit on Monday and Tuesday, source said. New England would like to bring him back, but that’s up in the air now.

Both Fleming and Waddle were subjects of our free agency focus profiles that started back in January. Both guys have started games in the past and are still relatively young but Fleming has the better resume:
“Fleming played 15 games last season including three in the postseason, he had a handful of starts at right tackle. Our friends at PatsPulpit showed Fleming giving up six sacks, 1 hit, and six pressures in 2017. Six sacks isn’t ideal but the Patriots were shuffling a lot on their offensive line. For what it’s worth, Fleming received higher grades than both Waddle and Solder according to PFF. We also profiled Fleming in our Free Agency Focus back in January if you want the inside scoop on his career.”
It’s interesting to see if this is a sign that Fleming is signing elsewhere or if the Pats are just working to keep both guys as a one-year deal isn’t much of a commitment. Still, there hasn’t been any other teams linked to Fleming other than the Cowboys. Operation Fleming Watch is completely underway:
#CowboysNation officially on #CamFleming watch! Come on, let me join @BobbyBeltTX as Nostradamus apprentice, wrote abt him in January!!! https://t.co/Zj3KkNtPKT
