Hurns is going to be a Cowboy.
Hurns joins a receiver group that features Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, Ryan Switzer, Noah Brown, and as of Thursday afternoon Deonte Thompson.
This move, while exciting, brings with it a lot of questions for the Cowboys. How can they have a receiver of Dez Bryant’s caliber, whatever money they give Allen Hurns (we’ll update when we know), the hodgepodge beneath them, and a potential high-round draft pick.
The signing of Allen Hurns could mean the Cowboys have plans for Dez Bryant, or that the they don’t plan on drafting a receiver high in the draft. This would be problematic for the potential future of the team, but to be fair Allen Hurns is only 26-years-old so he could be what they view as the future.
Either way, it will be very fascinating to see what the Cowboys have in store for their receiver group as the offseason continues to unfold. We’ll have you updated here at BTB as more information on the Hurns signing becomes available.
