[UPDATE]: There are reports that David Irving’s accuser is recanting her story.

The Dallas Morning News has a story about Irving’s accuser now saying the allegations are untrue.

“I was very upset and made some allegations that were false at the time due to our vocal argument and my emotional state,” Sanchez said in a statement she released to SportsDay. “I had no intentions of getting David into trouble. I was just very emotional and upset ... David did not put his hands on me at any time.”

The Dallas Cowboys have potential trouble on their hands with a disturbing report about defensive tackle David Irving. Local Dallas report Jobin Panicker tweeted out that the police are investigating Irving for two different incidents reported by his girlfriend.

At this time we don’t know anymore than these reports. so we’ll refrain from jumping to any conclusions. Obviously the things in this report are of a very serious nature and it will probably take some time to get the full picture.

The Cowboys recently gave Irivng a second-round tender as a restricted free agent. Irving reportedly signed it last week and is slated to make $2.91 million this season. He missed eight games last year, but when he was on the field was very productive for the Cowboys from the 3-tech position.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported on some bizarre posts on Irving’s social media accounts from earlier this morning. Some of the allegations on those accounts said things like:

Shortly after 8 a.m. CT, Irving’s Twitter account read, “David irving going to jail say good by to his football career.”

That was followed by, “Domestic vilance [ sic] again”

One minute later: “Cut his gf hair and kicked her to the streets”

And then these in succession: “With no where to go”

Irving claimed his accounts were hacked and denied the allegations in a post to his Twitter account.

The Dallas Morning News has a full rundown on Irving’s tweets and posts today defending himself from the allegations, claiming he kicked out his girlfriend for cheating.
