Cowboys 2018 pre-draft Visit Tracker: Official visits, private workouts, Dallas Day invites

The NFL allows teams to invite up to 30 national draft prospects for a pre-draft visit and an unlimited amount of local players for a pre-draft workout. We take a look at who the Cowboys have brought in so far.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys-Minicamp Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Every year in early April, the Cowboys are allowed to bring in up to 30 high-profile (usually), national draft-eligible players for official pre-draft visits. These “Top 30” visits do not involve any workouts, they are strictly meet-and-greets where the team can get a better feel for the players and the medical staff can conduct more thorough medical checkups, but the players do not work out for the team. Many of these official visits took place over the last week, but the Cowboys have until April 18 to conduct all their Top 30 visits.

The Cowboys can also bring in as many draft-eligible local prospects (players who went to high school in the Dallas/Fort-Worth metropolitan area or attended TCU, SMU, or North Texas) as they like for visits and workouts during “Dallas Day”, a one-day event in April which took pace on Friday.

Additionally, the team can have private workouts with as many prospects as they want, as long as these workouts are conducted either in the metropolitan area of the player’s residence or on the player's college campus.

Like all other NFL teams, the Cowboys don’t release an official list of the players they have official visits with, players they invite for “Dallas Day”, or players they've had private workouts with. That means it's left to us to piece together which players they are bringing in. You'll find all 30 official Top-30 visitors in the table below.

Can you create a mock draft using only the players invited for official visits, private workouts, or Dallas Day?
