The accident occurred near the Cowboys facilities around 3:00 AM this morning, he was booked at 5:00 AM and given a class c misdemeanor charge for fleeing the scene. It’s unknown when he’ll be released or what punishment he could face by both the Cowboys organization and the NFL itself.
Williams is facing an uncertain situation on the Cowboys roster as he’s working his way back from a foot injury. The Cowboys have revamped their receiving corps and brought in a lot of new competition for playing time. Williams was unable to score a touchdown last year and had some high-profile mistakes, including tipping a pass leading to a pick-six. His chemistry with Prescott is in question, and this latest incident will not help his cause with the Cowboys.
