Thursday night treated sports fans everywhere to a delight none of us expected, a riveting basketball matchup for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
It was one of those nights where Twitter was on fire. Everybody had a thought, meme to share, or in the case of Jourdan Lewis, an opinion for how to make things work more efficiently.
Jourdan’s idea for how the Cavaliers can be better, really how LeBron James can be better, is a simple one. He believes he can help. Literally.
Lewis jokes with LeBron (through the video, of course) that he can essentially be a more economically-friendly version of what George Hill (who missed a costly free throw) is for Cleveland. Jourdan is such a nice guy that he even offers to do it for a quarter of Hill’s current salary.
Of course, that quarter is equivalent to approximately $5M in Jourdan’s words, his entire rookie deal is worth $3.2M. Jourdan’s a smart guy, looking to maximize what’s coming in. I can respect that.
If you follow Jourdan on any form of social media you’ve likely seen his NBA fandom before. He’s an avid player of NBA2k (his games with Chidobe Awuzie are often made public via the victor’s outlets) so he’s definitely got some basketball credentials. He followed his video application tweet with a resumé of sorts to prove it.
Jourdan Lewis on the Cleveland Cavaliers (or [insert where LeBron goes to this summer]) during the Cowboys offseason... who says no?!
