A while back we talked about Cowboys rookie Dalton Schultz and his old YouTube channel all about gaming that he operated in high school.
Would you believe that Dalton isn’t the only member of the Cowboys to have an old YouTube channel? He isn’t even the only Cowboys rookie to have one!
Mr. first-round himself, Leighton Vander Esch, boasts his own channel as well, although his isn’t quite as filled out as Dalton’s. LVE only has three posts on this thing, and three of them don’t even contain any sound. He’s performing sign language in them.
The biggest video on this channel is one from earlier this February when Leighton put out a highlight film of his best moments at Boise State. It’s your average highlight film set to hardcore music.
Many have suggested that Leighton chose jersey number 55 because that’s what LV is in roman numerals. For what it’s worth he’ll also be part of the Cowboys when Super Bowl LV is being played, so maybe he has his sights set on that.
Maybe the sign language will help in hostile environments. Imagine it now. Dallas on the road in Philadelphia during a cold December night. Eagles fans going wild, you can’t even hear your own words, and Vander Esch signals out what he’s seeing from the opposing offense. As a result he picks off Carson Wentz and takes it to the house.
This seems fair and practical.
